Heroes from the Shadows highlights unjustly neglected roles singing the hidden jewels of Handel's operas: Cornelia by Giulio Cesare (Son nata in duet with Philippe Jaroussky), majestic Tiranna Pena Dardano from Amadigi di Gaula, and the sublime, intimate Senti, bell'idol mio. Stutzmann conducts his superb musicians playing on Baroque instruments, while singing some of Handel's most virtuoso tunes, all with rare mastery of both arts - none being in the shadows of the other.
Patrick performs among others the aria solo Son qual stanco pellegrino from the opera Alceste on piccolo cello.

Heroes from the Shadows met en lumière des rôles injustement négligés chantant les bijoux cachés des opéras de Haendel : Cornelia de Giulio Cesare (Son nata en duo avec Philippe Jaroussky), majestueux Tiranna Pena Dardano d’Amadigi di Gaula, et le sublime, intime Senti, bell’idol mio. Stutzmann dirige ses superbes musiciens jouant sur instruments baroques, tout en chantant quelques-uns des airs les plus virtuoses de Haendel, le tout avec une rare maîtrise des deux arts – aucun n’étant dans l’ombre de l’autre.
