SYNTONIA, UNIQUE QUINTETTE WITH PIANO ESTABLISHED IN FRANCE

Founded in 1999 by Patrick Langot and Romain David, Syntonia brings together five musicians with rich and complementary personal careers. A human core made up of complicity, dynamism and high standards. ​

Graduates of  Conservatory  de Paris in 2000, they won the Tina Moroni Prize at the Florence International Competition the same year and recorded their first album in the Déclic collection (AFAA / Radio France). They have since performed in prestigious festivals and concert halls:  festivals  de la Roque d'Anthéron, Easter in Deauville, Classique au Vert at the Parc Floral, Passerelle de Saint Brieuc, Bouffes du Nord, Cité de la Musique, Capitole de Toulouse, Grands Concerts de Lyon, Arsenal de Metz ...  Classic Radio  programs them regularly,  France Music  is a partner of their records and they are the guests of numerous radio shows. They turn for  Arte Concert  "  Music fairs  »With violinist Sarah Nemtanu.

​ The fruit of their shared vision of the five-man repertoire, their discography is acclaimed by the press:  SHOCK Classica  for Koechlin (2017, Timpani),  Diapason Discovery  and Reference Version of the  Critics' Tribune  by France Musique for Schumann and Franck (2007, Loreley),  5 tuning forks  for Dvořák and Suk (2014, Syntonia)… It also shows a marked interest in the music of our time. They create and record the String Quartet n ° 4 "  Ulysses  " By Olivier Greif in 2000, engrave his String Quartet n ° 2 with voice"  on three Shakespeare sonnets  " With the baritone Alain Buet (2010, Zigzag Territoires) as well as his Piano Quintet"  A Tale of the World  ” , Whose release scheduled for September 2020 on Azur Classical commemorates the 20th anniversary of the composer's death. Tôn-Thât Tiêt composes the Regards dans la mist for them  in homage to the Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun  by Claude Debussy, which they recorded in a double CD dedicated to the latter with soprano Maya Villanueva (2018, Klarthe Records). They are also the guests of the composer Benoît Menut on his new monographic record Les ÎLES  with cellist Emmanuelle Bertrand (2020, Harmonia Mundi).

Syntonia is in residence at the Singer-Polignac Foundation from 2011 to 2016. In addition, in 2014, they participated in the educational project 10 Months of School and Opera of the Opéra National de Paris , a unique program intended for students of the Paris National Opera. Priority education and not having easy access to art and culture.
